The minimal recommended hardware for an RDPlus Terminal Server running Windows 7 or 8 or Windows Server 2008 or 2012 is as follows:
|Number of users||Recommended Hardware|
|3-5||4 GB RAM
Dual Core 2GHz CPU
|10||8 GB RAM
Quad Core 2.5GHz CPU
|20||16 GB RAM
Quad Core 3GHz CPU
|40 and above||32 GB RAM
2x Quad Core 3GHz CPU
SSD Disk dedicated to the system
For over 50 concurrent sessions, we recommend using a server farm, utilizing the loadbalacing features in the Corporate Edition, with each server (physical or virtual ones) handling up to 50 concurrent users.
Comment: The type of hardware you need will mostly depend on what kind of resources the applications you wish to publish consume the most (CPU/memory/Disk). You should consider getting a server with SSD drives if you plan on using an application that accesses a database on your RDPlus server as it will greatly enhance the performances.
Your hardware must use one of the operating systems below:
32 and 64 bits are supported.
The RDPlus server must have a fixed IP address
Remote access (from Wide Area Network – WAN)
